Im still here =)

I know its been alittle while since my last post. Im still around just havent been that active lately. Above shows a few of the manicures Ive worn in the past few weeks. Im still going strong without my gel overlays or acrylics. Im currently using Barielle advanced everyday nail cream and Nailtek. I do cut my nails down regularly and will continue to do so until I feel they are strong enough at a longer length.

On another note, I will be starting school soon.Come Feb 19th I will be attending Aveda institute for their Esthiology program. Im looking to become an Esthetician over the next year or so. Im excited and nervous but ready at the same time lol I graduated from high school some years ago so Im interested to see how I adapt school setting again. As always thanks for reading and/or stopping by my blog *Smooches*

Coming out to the world ...

So the reason I havent blogged in over a month is because I didnt know how to show you all my nubs LOL Ive always had either arcylic tips or gel overlays on my nails since the 7th grade. I cant even remember the last time Ive seen my nails ''natural''. I decided last month to try growing my nails out without the assistance of a nail salon. I purchased some cuticle oils and treatments from different brands.Im currently using Nail tek nail theraphy II and their cuticle oil. At first I was using poshe 4-1 basecoat which I did like. I apologize for not sharing this with you guys sooner but I didnt feel you guys would want to see swatches on my little nubbies =( Let me know what you guys think or recommend for weak nails.
This is my left hand after the second cut down which was a few days ago.

My right hand

These are my pass two manicures which I absolutely adore. I mean who doesnt like a purple holo ?
2 coats gave me complete coverage and the application was amazing. This is Jade fascinio violeta if you cant see the name on the bottle.
Another one of my favorites. Gosh Holographic. It took me forever to get my hands on this baby but boy was it worth it. My only complaints would be the size or the polish and the application. I had to do 3 coats to get complete coverage and no patchy spots =(

Isnt she pretty ? This polish has a strong linear holo

Gosh is a must have IMO even with the application issues its still worth it LOL Thanks for reading snickerdoodles *Smooches*

KBShimmer Radioactive

What can I say this polish is beautiful, bright and bold. Not only does it look good in regular lighting but it also glows in the dark !!! This is my first glow in the dark polish. I dont think I will buy anymore bc it freaked me out when I woke up in the middle of night to find my fingers glowing LOL.You can purchase this polish from KBShimmer on her site HERE . I have a few of her polishes that I love and some from her new collection on her way to me as we speak.

A shot in the dark. I used 2 coats for complete coverage and 1 coat of out the door topcoat. No application problems what so ever and dry time was normal.

Another showing the black glitter better. Do you have this polish ? What do you think about it or glow in the dark polishes period ? *Smooches*

Zoya Gloss trio

First let me start off by apologizing about the delay in these swatches. So many events have occurred which stopped or delayed me from swatching. After all of the rainy days and not so good swatches I have finally produced better pictures IMO. Ok enough of that now on to the pics
The Gloss trio. L-R Katherine,Frida and Paloma
Katherine is described by Zoya as a sheer, dark, red-toned aubergine with a build-able jelly gloss finish. I did 2 coats for this coverage.
Frida is described by Zoya as a sheer, dark, warm-toned teal blue with a build-able jelly gloss finish. I did 2 coats for this coverage.

Paloma is described by Zoya as a  sheer deep fuchsia-berry with a build-able jelly gloss finish. I did 2 coats  for this coverage.

These jellies are AMAZING. I have recently fell in love with jelly finishes as Im sure you guys already know LOL . I could see myself doing endless glitter sandwiches and layering with these. 2 coats does give good color payout off but you will have visible nail lines. You can purchase these polishes as a set from www.zoya.com for $24 (USD) or separately for $8.

Slime anyone ?

This is my last time saying this but Im addicted to jelly sandwich nails LOL  So how I come up with my creations. I mix different polishes on a nail wheel until I come up with something I like.
To get this look I did one coat of Jordana Mellow yellow, a coat of Jordana blue bash and then another coat of mellow yellow.

When I looked at my nails the first thing that came to mind was slime from nickelodeon. Dont tell me why being this is green and yellow but it did.

Im loving this combination. What do you think about it ? Would you wear something like this ? *Smooches*

My kind of keylime pie

Let me start off by saying I do not like key lime pie however in polish form I love it LOL. As we all know there are alot of indies popping up and I stumbled across KBshimmer on facebook. So I placed an order soon after and the rest is history.
I did two coats of key lime pie and 1 thick coat of out the door topcoat. This polish was easy to work with which was a surprise having all of the different glitters mixed throughout it.

I also want to point out her shipping cost which I love.Very reasonable prices compared to some of the other indies wanting an arm and leg on top of their $10 plus polish. She also has great communication on her facebook fan page and website which you can check out HERE . Do you have any KBshimmer polishes ? What do you think about them ? *Smooches*

My 4th of July mani

Just a quick post to show my 4th of july mani. I generally dont participate in themed nails but I was feeling patriotic LOL. I started with 1 coat of Orly Le Chateau as a base. Its deep dark forest green.

Then I did 1 thick coat of Milani jewel fx red, 1 thick coat of Milani jewel fx silver( for my white) and finished it with 1 coat of jordana blue bash. I got many compliments on these blingy nails. Im sure this is going to be a pain to remove but it was so worth it.I hope you all had a wonderful 4th.
