Zoya PixieDust Collection

Sorry I have been MIA for the past few weeks. I havent been able to blog as much as I would like bc of my school schedule (10 hour days) and still having to balance my everyday life outside of school. I hope you guys dont have any hard feelings and I promise to be back full time once I finish school in July =) On a lighter note Zoya sent me this BEAUTIFUL collection for review and here are some of my swatches.

Zoya Godiva can be best described as a soft nude with a sugared sparkle

Zoya Vespa can be best described as a Mint Kiss with a sugared sparkle.

Zoya London can be best described as a fog gray with a sugared sparkle
Zoya Chyna can be best described as a red dazzle with a sugared sparkle.

Zoya Dahlia can be best described as a black beauty with a sugared sparkle.

.Zoya Nyx can be best described as a perfect periwinkle with a sugared sparkle.

I used 2 coats for each color and got complete coverage. All of them applied pretty well IMO but I have never used a textured polish. Zoya recommends 1-3 coats but I feel 1 is too light and 2 is perfect. 3 would probably make the polish really thick on the nail. I did notice this polish took longer to dry. Im not sure if it was due to the fact I didnt use a fast drying top coat or the polish itself. Overall I loved all of the colors even the nude which I was on the fence about.
You can pick up the entire collection from www.zoya.com for $54 or separately for $9.

They are available now for purchase. Do you already have anything from this collection, if so which ones ? What do you think about this new texture polish trend ?

These polishes were sent to me for my honest review/opinion !!!

Zoya Julie is described by Zoya as a full-coverage, soft wisteria purple metallic. I could not get this color to capture correctly on my camera. Julie is lighter then this in person.

Zoya Blu is described as a full-coverage, soft and delicate pale baby blue with a glossy creme finish.

Zoya Jaqueline is described as a full-coverage, perfect magnolia nude cream.

Im still here =)

I know its been alittle while since my last post. Im still around just havent been that active lately. Above shows a few of the manicures Ive worn in the past few weeks. Im still going strong without my gel overlays or acrylics. Im currently using Barielle advanced everyday nail cream and Nailtek. I do cut my nails down regularly and will continue to do so until I feel they are strong enough at a longer length.

On another note, I will be starting school soon.Come Feb 19th I will be attending Aveda institute for their Esthiology program. Im looking to become an Esthetician over the next year or so. Im excited and nervous but ready at the same time lol I graduated from high school some years ago so Im interested to see how I adapt school setting again. As always thanks for reading and/or stopping by my blog *Smooches*

Zoya Ornate Collection 2012

Zoya Electra is described by Zoya as a micro fine diamond holographic glitter mixed with large silver holographic bar tinsel in a clear base.

This is 2 coats of her on her own. I would probably wear this layered over a silver polish or by itself. The only con about this one is it may not go on evenly so you will have to file off the strays at the tip as you can see in the pic.

Zoya Storm is described by Zoya as a full coverage, holiday black with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter.

I used 2 coats for the purpose of swatches but you could definitely get away with 1 thick coat. Application was amazing and went on smoothly. Storm is one of my favorites out of this collection.

Zoya Blaze is described by Zoya as a full coverage, cool-toned medium mulberry red with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter.

I did 2 coats to get complete coverage. I love the scattered holo glitter in this polish.

Zoya Ziv is described by Zoya as a full coverage, yellow-toned metallic gold foil with silver highlights and warm gold flake glitter accents.

This pic was taken outside without flash. I did 2 coats  to get complete coverage. The application was smooth with this one as well. I did notice brush strokes while applying this but once dry you could not see them.

Zoya Logan is described by Zoya as a full coverage, yellow-toned forest green with dense, foil-like yellow-gold and blue-green duochrome shimmer!
I did 2 coats for complete coverage. This one also showed the brush strokes while applying but once dry it did not.

Zoya Aurora is described by Zoya as a  full coverage, medium sugarplum purple flecked with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter. I did 2 coats for complete coverage. This is another scattered holo I love. How could you go wrong with purple and scattered holo glitter ?!

Overall I would say I like this entire collection. The color range covers the basic greens and golds but they also gave other colors many leave out of holiday/winter collections. I love that they are doing more and more polishes with holographic glitters in them. Maybe we will see linear holo's from them in the future.

You can purchase the entire collection for $48 or each polish individually for $8 from www.zoya.com

These polishes were sent to me for an honest review.

Coming out to the world ...

So the reason I havent blogged in over a month is because I didnt know how to show you all my nubs LOL Ive always had either arcylic tips or gel overlays on my nails since the 7th grade. I cant even remember the last time Ive seen my nails ''natural''. I decided last month to try growing my nails out without the assistance of a nail salon. I purchased some cuticle oils and treatments from different brands.Im currently using Nail tek nail theraphy II and their cuticle oil. At first I was using poshe 4-1 basecoat which I did like. I apologize for not sharing this with you guys sooner but I didnt feel you guys would want to see swatches on my little nubbies =( Let me know what you guys think or recommend for weak nails.
This is my left hand after the second cut down which was a few days ago.

My right hand

These are my pass two manicures which I absolutely adore. I mean who doesnt like a purple holo ?
2 coats gave me complete coverage and the application was amazing. This is Jade fascinio violeta if you cant see the name on the bottle.
Another one of my favorites. Gosh Holographic. It took me forever to get my hands on this baby but boy was it worth it. My only complaints would be the size or the polish and the application. I had to do 3 coats to get complete coverage and no patchy spots =(

Isnt she pretty ? This polish has a strong linear holo

Gosh is a must have IMO even with the application issues its still worth it LOL Thanks for reading snickerdoodles *Smooches*
