Dr.'s REMEDY review #3

This tangerine color name is TRANQUIL.They describe her as a bold, but wonderfully wearable, slice of juicy delight.

This is a very pretty orange however it does not look good on my skintone!!! Application was ok and it took 2 coats for full coverage.Dry time was a little longer for this one then the others in the collection.

You can find TRANQUIL and other DR.'s REMEDY products on their website at www.remedynails.com or by calling 1.877.323.6756.

This polish retails for $17.00 a bottle

Dr.'s REMEDY review #2

I have been wearing this color named BOLD which is a baby blue by Dr.'s REMEDY from their HOT HOT HOT summer collection for a few days now. They describe BOLD as an aqua-meets-turquoise take on every boy's favorite color.

I would call this a frosty blue that would work well with all skin tones. I used 2 coats for full coverage and dry time was very quick. It was hard to capture this color due to the flash of silver in this polish. You can purchase this color as well as their other products from www.remedynails.com or by calling 877.323.6756. This polish retails for $17.00 a bottle.

Last but not least ...

Zoya Marina is described on Zoya's website as a strongly blue-toned smoky silver-grey with a dusty metallic finish. A blue smoke shade to give a dreamy artistic look to the nails.
Marina looks to me like Zoya's Kelly metallic sister !!! She is beautiful and application was wonderful as always.I used 1 and a half coats to get full coverage.Dry time was a little longer with this one vs the other's I used from the mirrors collection.

The retail of 1 Zoya polish is $8.00 or you can buy the complete Mirror's collection for $48.00
Visit their website at www.zoya.com to find out more about this collection or any of their other products.

Zoya Review

Zoya Yara is described by Zoya's website as: A medium smoky olive drab with an illuminating splash of bright gold glitter.?? An olive drab that's anything but- it's completely glam.

Yara is sooo beautiful and applied like a dream however I feel that she does not go with my skintone =( I love the color but definitely not on me.! thick coat or 1 thin and 1/2 coat to get full coverage. The shimmer is AMAZING.

Zoya Tao is described on Zoya's website as  A light smoke grey with blue undertones and a muted, softened metallic finish. A cool metallic machine shade for a rock'n'roll look.

Tao is another 1 good coat or 1 and 1/2 thin ones. For a grey it wasnt streaky at all and dried fairly quickly.

Zoya Nimue is described by Zoya's website as A smoky muted thistle purple with blue and mauve tones and a silvered metallic finish.? An unexpected soft metallic for an antiqued nail look

First let me say you do NOT need a topcoat with this one !!! she is soo beautiful and shiny on her own.I did 2 coats for good measure and Im in love with this polish. Nimue is a new favorite for me!

Yara,Tao, and Nimue are all from the Mirrors collection which is one of Zoya's 2011 fall collections (the other being Smoke)

Each bottle retails for $8.00 or you can get the whole mirrors collection for $48.00.You can find these polishes plus their other products at www.zoya.com

My Zoya manicure

Im doing a review today of Zoya Jem from Mirrors which is one of their new fall collections.Zoya describes Jem as a fandango pink metallic nail polish that has it all! Zoya Jem is bold, bright, dramatic, edgy and urban. She is always ready for her close up. This chameleon polish also has a chic golden duo-chrome.
A close up of Jem outside in the shade (sun was going down)
Another outside shot
Jem with a flash

Jem without flash

Jem is ohh so beautiful. She changes with each movement of my hand. The application was great and I almost had full coverage with 1 coat. Dry time was quick.Zoya Jem retails for $8.00 a bottle or you can get the whole mirrors collection for $48.00.Find Jem or any of their products on www.zoya.com

My first official Zoya review

So I was very shocked and honored when I received an email from their PR department telling me they named a polish after me!!! Awhile back I had posted on their facebook fan page (to like click here ) requesting them to add my name to a wall of names they have at headquarter's for idea's to name some of their polishes.Im sure you can imagine my excitement when they told me there is now a Zoya polish named Neeka =)

Here's a little bit of info on this company:Zoya Nail polish has been awarded as the longest wearing natural nail polish by an independent panel in Women’s Health Magazine. Zoya Nail Polish is a nail polish free of toluene, formaldehyde, DBP (phthalates) and camphor. Nail Polish by Zoya offers over 300 gorgeous nail polish colors to choose from, plus 4 seasonal collection of nail polish every year. Zoya Nail Polish was specifically formulated to deliver the longest wear possible on natural nails. Zoya Nail Polish can be found in better beauty salons, spas and online at www.zoya.com

I chose Neeka (for obvious reasons) to review first. You only need 1 coat to get complete coverage.

On zoya.com Neeka can be described  as a greyed amethyst with subtle red duochrome shimmer and bright gold glitter accents.? A fascinating, unique shade that manages to be glittery but not too flashy.

This color is stunning !!! application was easy and quick being you only need 1 coat for full coverage. The brush design makes it easier for non-professionals like myself keep polish off of my skin.

Neeka is from the mirrors collection which is set to go on sale today (7/15/2011) .A bottle of Neeka retails for $8.00 or $48.00 for the whole mirrors collection.

My Butter London and Sinful Colors manicure

So I went to Ulta last night and picked up a few Butter London's. I decided to use Lady Muck and Sinful color's Frenzy as an accent nail.

The application was excellent. 1 coat gave me sufficient coverage however with Frenzy I had to put on many coats to cover the whole nail. Both colors are beautiful and together make a great combo. *smooches*

My Barielle and Funky Fingers manicure

So I decided to do a bright color to get me in the mood for the hot temperatures we've been having here in the Carolinas. I picked Barielle Do Unto Others and used Funky Fingers Sand and Stilettos as my accent nail.
This color is Do Unto Others is absolutely beautiful !!! I coat is enough however I always do 2 coats.Application was wonderful and dry time was fairly quickly.Sand and Stilettos is just a glitter in a clear base so I had to use a few coats to have good coverage. This color is pretty as well unfortunately my camera wouldnt pic up the different color glitter in this polish.

Another shot trying to show some of the colors in Sand and Stilettos. Both polishes are a must have and make a great combo together.*smooches*

Bath & Body Works review

I was sent Bath and Body Works shower gel and lotion in one of their newer scents Into the Wild as samples. This is some information they have listed on their website and the back of the containers:Our Signature Shower Gel is supercharged with benefits that make it the world's best daily luxury. It has been formulated to provide the ultimate shower experience, pampering you with luxurious lather, moisturizing Aloe Vera and nourishing Vitamin E that gently clean, soften and fragrance your skin.

They also describe the  smell as a seductive blend of exotic mandarin, lush petals, and white woods inspired by a sensuous escape into the jungle

Here's a pic of them together
L-R The body cream and shower gel

I used the shower gel as recommended with a washcloth and it does lather very well with a small amount. You can smell the scent as soon as you open the bottle but it is not overwhelming. Overall I like the way it felt going on and off because it didn't leave a residue like some body washes and shower gels tend to do.
I then followed up with the body cream which I just used on my arms bc it is scented and I didnt want the scent to be too loud. The body cream scent is stronger then the shower gel. I dont generally like musk scents but they added mandarin which is a sweeter note to balance it all out. I think this combination of scents complimented each other very well.Overall I can say would purchase the shower gel if I ran out because I loved it however I dont think I would buy the lotion.Only because Im not big on scented lotion .I like to wear perfume so I would definitely by this scent as a body spray.

You can purchase these products from one of their many stores or online by visiting their website which can be found here.

The body cream retails for $12.00 and the shower gel retails for $10.50

( These products were sent to me as samples from their PR department)

My China Glaze manicure

So I decided to do another purple maicure for Caylee Anthony. See my previous post for more information. I chose China Glaze IDK.
                                           A shot of the bottle

Application was excellent for a holographic polish. I didnt use a basecoat like most recommend. the first coat gave good coverage but for good measure I added a 2nd one. Dry time was quick as most holo seem to do anyway.*smooches*

China glaze manicure

I did this manicure last night before I went to bed. I decided to do a post about them just now since I keep staring at them.I used China glaze L8R G8R. I didnt use a holo basecoat or any base coat for that matter. It applied pretty well and evenly with 2 coats. I finished it off with a fast drying topcoat though I didnt need to because they dried pretty fast on it's own.

Just another shot

L8R G8R (Later gator) - holographic light green is how it is described but I would consider this a lime holo. A friend of mine named Katie in my facebook group with nice enough to do a swap with me and she included this how sweet.*smooches*

Deborah Lippmann 2011 holiday collection press release

HAPPY BIRTHDAY: a party in a bottle (glitter)
FORGET YOU: party all night (glitter)
CANDY SHOP: bubblegum pink (glitter)

Nothing says ‘Party’ like the magnetic sparkle of glitter. So for the biggest party season of the year, I’ve created shades that truly dazzle. Get This Party Started, a set of three glitters, was inspired by the overwhelming demand for my best selling Happy  Birthday, a glittery party in a bottle. The set includes Happy Birthday, along with two new variations of the sparkling shade: Forget You and Candy Shop. They’re both packed with the same unique hexagon-shaped glitter that gives Happy Birthday its magnificent glint, only Forget You has a sheer black base and Candy Shop a bubblegum pink.

I love how festive all three look and feel, whether wrapped a round a champagne glass or peeping out of a glamorous pump. But what I truly love the most: how a few coats of any shade instantly transform you into the life of the party.

XOXO,
Deborah
